The First Response Service provides 24/7 expert mental health support, please call on 0808 196 8708.


The Moorings @ Devon

Offers mental health support to anyone aged 18+ in the Devon area. There are three locations - Barnstaple, Exeter and Torquay. You do not need a formal referral or appointment.

Their experienced team is available to provide emotional, social and practical support if you are in crisis or feel like you are heading toward a crisis situation.

They offer support in-person, over the phone, or via video call. You can just have a chat, or access one-to-one support from trained professionals.


Papyrus

This is a charity supporting children and young people under the age of 35 with their mental health. If you are having thoughts of suicide or are concerned for a young person who might be, you can contact HOPELINEUK for confidential support and practical advice.

Childline

When you call them on 0800 1111, you'll get through to a counsellor, they're there to listen and support you with anything you'd like to talk about. Or you can have a 1-2-1 counsellor chat online. In an emergency, you should always call 999.


Self Injury Support

A UK-wide self-harm and self-injury charity offering direct support, reliable information, expert training and specialist consultancy.

Open Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm-9:30pm

For women of any age or background affected by self-injury, whether their own or that of a friend or family member.

Email support - tessmail@selfinjurysupport.org.uk - their email service is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7pm-9:30pm. You can send an email at any time but they will only respond during their service hours.


No Panic

A registered charity that helps and supports those living with Panic Attacks, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and other related anxiety disorders. No Panic also provides support for carers of people who suffer from anxiety disorders.

Mind Your Head - Yellow Wellies

The Farm Safety Foundation is the charity leading the campaign to raise awareness of protecting the physical and mental wellbeing of those living and working in the sector.

Their research reveals that four out of five young farmers (under 40) believe that mental health is the biggest hidden problem facing farmers today. In 2018 they launched the 'Mind Your Head' campaign, to raise awareness of this growing issue in the industry.

Lumi Nova: Tales of Courage (mobile game)

A therapeutic mobile game to help 7-12 year olds learn to self-manage their fears and worries.

Lumi Nova: Tales of Courage provides a fun, safe, and engaging way for children and young people to tackle their worries head on so they can build resilience, gain confidence and thrive.


North Dartmoor Mental Wellbeing Drop-in

Every Saturday, from 10am-12pm, there is a Mental Wellbeing Drop-In at Okehampton Medical Centre.

We are aware that some people find weekends difficult for their mental health, so this drop-in will be held every Saturday morning.

There will always be a warm welcome, someone to talk to, and a cuppa for anyone that is interested.
