111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
Patients in North Dartmoor are now able to make routine appointments at a GP practice during evenings and at weekends. The aim of the GP service is to make it easier for people to get an appointment at a time that suits them.

This scheme is an extension of the usual GP practice services, not a walk-in service. Patients still need to make an appointment if they wish to see a GP in the evening or at the weekend. Practices are working together to establish a service that meets the needs of the public.

The exception to this is the Mental Wellbeing Drop-in, which is a walk-in service.
If you are a patient registered at one of the practices listed at the top of this page, you will be able to book a routine evening or weekend appointment with any of the participating practices. Appointments should be booked with the participating practice.
